ASHS Board of Directors Approves the Investigation of Performance Horse Registry

In response to the requests from a number of interested parties the Board of The Australian Stock Horse Society (ASHS) has approved the investigation of a Performance Horse Registry.

The Performance Horse Registry will give owners of currently unrecorded horses the opportunity to have their horses breeding and performance recorded and recognised. The registry would be separate to the Australian Stock Horse Stud Book and allow the Society to keep an accurate record of horses not currently recorded.

The Board of Directors is of the opinion that the registry will meet the needs of horse owners and is an opportunity to grow the Society and the benefits provided to the equine performance industry

Ms Maree Sankey General Manager of the ASHS said this is an exciting opportunity for the Society to provide a means for horse owners to register horses not currently eligible for registration in the Australian Stock Horse Stud Book.
