Level 1 Accredited Judges Workshop

Are you interested in becoming a Level 1 Accredited Judge for The Australian Stock Horse Society? Are you already an Accredited Level 1 Judge who has to do their 3 year refresher to maintain your accreditation?

Please see the following dates for a workshop near you. If you would like to attend, please fill out the application form and send it to info@ashs.com.au. Young, old, experienced or not this is a great opportunity to learn from the beginning or perhaps brush up on those skills. The most important thing is to keep judging consistent across all events and maintain the standard of excellence of the Australian Stock Horse breed.

Please check the Coming Events for any future Workshops.

To attend a Level 1 Accredited Judges Clinic download an Application Form or contact Head Office.

Level 1 Judge Refresher Courses
Existing Level 1 Accredited Judges can attend a refresher course at one of the above workshops.

A new process has been approved by the ASHS Board of Directors for Level 1 Judges to complete their Refresher requirements whereby they will have the option to complete an Activity Form to be assessed rather than attending a Workshop. However, if this option is selected, the Judge must attend a Workshop in 3 years when they are required to Refresh their ASHS Judging Accreditation again.

Both the Judging Assessor and the Events Chairperson will review the Judges Activity Form submitted to Head Office against assessment criteria. Please contact the Head Office if you have any questions.

Probationary Judges

Probationary Judges List

This list is provided to enable Probationary Judges assistance from Mentor Judges, Show Committee and Branches, to obtain the necessary experience to gain full accreditation.

To graduate, a Probationary Judge can either attend another Level 1 Workshop to be reassessed or complete three Judging Assignments. The Judging Assignments are to be submitted to Head Office where it will be forwarded to a Judging Assessor and the Events Chairperson to determine if the applicant should graduate and become a Level 1 Accredited Judge or make other suggestions for steps to be taken to achieve the accreditation.
