If the Stallion Owner was unfinancial when the mare was served, a $30.00 penalty fee will apply.
Southern Hemisphere horses are one year older on 1st August each year, due 1st August.
Northern Hemisphere horses are one year older on 1st January, due 1st January.
First Cross Book - ELIGIBILITY
Horses may be registered at any age and must pass inspection by a Society Inspector, after branding.
First Cross horses are eligible for ASH events, awards and sales.

Second Cross Book - ELIGIBILITY

Special Merit Book - ELIGIBILITY
Mares, fillies, stallions, colts and geldings are eligible for Special Merit ASH Registration.
Special Merit horses will only be accepted as Second Cross status and the registration number will be identified as “C2-”.
Special Merit horses are eligible for ASH events, awards and sales.
Horses may be registered at any age and must pass inspection by a Society Inspector, after branding.
Horses must be registered with a Thoroughbred Stud Book authority, recognised by the International Stud Book Committee (ISBC). Race eligible horses, registered in a Non-Thoroughbred Register (or similar) are not eligible.
Registration is limited to mares and stallions and are NOT be eligible for ASH events or awards.

Breeding Purposes horses will only be accepted as equivalent to Second Cross status and will be identified as “B2-”.
Breeding Purposes horses are NOT eligible for ASH events, awards and sales.
Registry - ELIGIBILITY

The registration number for Registry horses will be identified as “R-”.
Registry horses are eligible for ASH events, awards and sales.
Horses may be registered at any age and must pass inspection by a Society Inspector, after branding.
Eligible if HSH Criteria applies as follows: Horses may be eligible providing they have one HSH parent, one HSH grandparent, or two HSH great grandparents registered with The Australian Stock Horse Society.
