Hall of Fame

Foundation Horses

In 1990, ten unregistered sires were selected for entry into the ASHS Hall of Fame as Foundation Sires. In 1991, ten registered mares followed.

In later years the Board of Directors established a criteria for the Hall of Fame, with the assistance of equine historian Joy Poole OAM, which included Foundation Sires & Mares and Impact Sires & Mares.

This document recognises those earliest horses.
