Transfer of Registered Owner
Transfer of Registered Owner enables the NEW OWNER to be recognised as the Registered Owner and be eligible for ASH events, sales & awards, providing they remain a Financial Member of the Society.
VENDOR - Once the sale is finalised, lodge a signed Transfer Application to the SOCIETY to avoid any future responsibility for the horse, whether the new owner is a member or not. The vendor remains responsible if the horse tests positive for a Prohibited Substances; or could be held responsible for any wellbeing or liability issues relating to the horse until change of ownership has been submitted to the Society by way of a Transfer Application.
For continuity of registration, the change of Registered Owner must be completed on Society records. Once the signed Transfer is received, the registration is suspended until the transfer is finalised and a Certificate of Registration issued to the New Owner.
